Preface.
Powerboat Adventures was chosen for this comparison:
Firstly: Because it would appear to be one of the most successful and well known examples of the type of operation - which we plan to be engaged in. If memory serves, in a recent television show - on the Discovery Channel, Powerboat Adventures was awarded the runner up spot on "Bahamas' Top Attractions". First place went to the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island - which, incidentally, is, reportedly, currently undergoing a 1 billion $ U.S. expansion & renovation - no it is not a typo.

Certainly, this is not too shabby an achievement on the part of Nigel Bower - the successful young entrepreneur who (some 20 years ago) created Powerboat Adventures - which, today, represents a paltry (compared to the Atlantis Resort) capital investment of probably no more than say 3 or 4 million $ U.S. 

Secondly: Robby New (yours truly) - the unsuccessful, old, "wannabe" entrepreneur, who has spent some 50 years - trying to create Panama Adventure Tours (or a close facsimile thereof) has spent many years in Nassau and is very well acquainted with Nigel Bower and Powerboat Adventures - from the inception. In fact, a significant amount of time and effort was devoted, over those years, to many futile attempts at persuading Powerboat Adventures to trade in their 3 go fast "Miami vice" boats for a single "Magic Carpet Catamaran" - much like our current boat Grand Illusion.

The following is an attempt to compare many aspects of both operations - with the goal of  persuading any potential investors - that the operation of Panama Adventure Tours is likely to be significantly more successful than the (apparently very successful) operation of Powerboat Adventures.

Note. There has recently (how recently is not clear) been a major change in the Powerboat Adventures operation - in that a new, much bigger boat has been added to their stable of boats. Seeing as I have no information or familiarity with this boat - nor any knowledge as to what effect this acquisition has had on their operation, for the purpose of this comparison, this "inconvenient truth" will simply be ignored.

Opening statement


This group af six web pages is intended to present a very strong argument that, despite the very powerfully "Brand" - which Powerboat Adventures has garnered,  over the past 20 years, Panama Adventure Tours is likely to soon become the more successful operation. These pages will show that the "Product",  which Panama Adventures Tours has conceived and developed, will be so "effective", that it will very soon overpower the "Brand" of Powerboat Adventures 

"Effective" in this case (as in the case of virtually all "Products") refers to "making people happy". The following web pages are aimed at demonstrating that Panama Adventure Tours product will be about as "effective" (and addictive) as a "Frisco Speedball". For those who may have missed the "psychedelic sixties" or weren't born yet, this powerful "cocktail" is a mixture of Cocaine, Heroin, and L.S.D. - intended to make the user very very happy indeed. The possible negative side effects, from this delightful concoction, were said to include "virtually everything - except, possibly, the common cold".

These web pages are intended to show that our "Product" (while being equally effective and addictive) will only have side effects of a positive nature. They are also intended to present evidence to show that it is likely that very few guests of Powerboat Adventures find their tour to be so addictive - as to warrant a repeat performance (during the same vacation) - or even on future vacations.

These pages will also show that the reverse is likely be the case for Panama Adventure Tours - in that, repeat business (on the same vacation and future vacations) will likely generate a very large portion of our revenues. In the process, this will increase the strength of our "Brand" "organically" (to use a "search engine optimization" parallel) - thereby contributing to the establishment of a very profitable  operation - built on a very sound foundation.

In the process, these pages will present irrefutable arguments that, in fact (barring "An act of God" - or "God wannabes") Panama Adventure Tours (besides surpassing Powerboat Adventures in most aspects) is virtually certain to achieve (in the very near future) and maintain an "annual return on investment", for the investors, of somewhere in the very close proximity of 100%. By "irrefutable" we mean - in regard to rational arguments. Naturally, a blind belief in the old saw that "if something sounds too good to be true - it (no doubt) is" cannot be overcome by means of any rational argument.
